Today was my first day of classes for COLLEGE. I think I'm going to love it even though the workload is SO MUCH. I've only had two of my classes, but if they're any indicator of my OTHER classes, I think it's going to be a blast.

My dorm room is super awesome even though it's small and you literally can't fit ANYTHING in there. Seriously, not only did we have to raise our beds so we could put our dressers, refrigerator, microwave, and printers underneath them, but there is honest-to-god not a inch in there to put a TV. So pretty much the only reason I love it is because of my AMAZING roommate. We've gone exploring and got some frozen yogurt, Chipotle, and went to the movies. We haven't gone to any frat parties or anything. That's not our scene.

The negative side is the heat. I can't walk one block without sweating like a pig. I've been wearing my hair up in a bun more than I have in my whole entire life and it's IMPOSSIBLE to wear a camisole under your shirts. I think I'm even going to have to buy some shorts (WHICH I HATE D

I walked around campus and found all my classes (which are conveniently located on the other side of campus). Today I had Art Appreciation and the Drawing 2 lab. We only went through the syllabuses pretty much, but it seems like a good indicator of what the year will be like. My Art Appreciation class has around 300 people in it, and of course the people I sat with sat in the front row. I think we're going to have to do a lot of readings, essays, and viewing assignments, but oh well.

Then I went to my Drawing 2 lab. Everyone else I know is taking Drawing 1, so I was all alone. When we went into the room we all sort of convened into an awkward, silent, circle. I tried a couple times to break the ice, but alas, every just kind of giggled awkwardly and it stayed silent. There is only around 17-18 kids in it, so imagine the awkwardness. Then we went through the syllabus and did introductions. I'm the only freshman in the class, so that's going to be intimidating.

I've met a few people who are doing the major I want to get into, and they've all pretty much said the same thing. It's extremely competitive to get into, and it's a lot of work once you're in it. Still intimidating, but I'm still excited.
I came home for the weekend because I'm not feeling good and I forgot some stuff, but I just have three words to sum this whole thing up.
